Hispanic pioneers have made remarkable contributions to the world of technology, especially in computer science and coding. Their achievements inspire today’s youth, demonstrating that innovation and perseverance can break barriers and drive meaningful change.

Luis von Ahn – Innovator in Crowdsourcing and Education

Luis von Ahn, a Guatemalan-born computer scientist, is widely recognized for his groundbreaking work in crowdsourcing and online education. He co-created CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA, both of which help secure websites while also aiding in digitizing books. He is also the co-founder of Duolingo, a widely used platform for language learning. Von Ahn’s work showcases how technology can make education more accessible to all, inspiring countless learners worldwide.

Diana Trujillo – NASA Engineer and Advocate for STEM Diversity

Diana Trujillo’s journey from Colombia to working on the Mars Perseverance Rover at NASA is a story of determination and achievement.
