Join Urban Coders Guild for our annual Black History Month youth Hackathon hosted by Atlas School.
Students are invited to spend the day with us learning the fundamentals of web development while honoring Black History Month.

WHO: For middle & high school students - no prior coding experience necessary

Teacher PD: CS Superheroes: Empowering Students to Save the (Digital) World
This two-day professional development course equips teachers with the confidence, strategies, and resources to engage students in computer science (CS) education. The course connects coding concepts to students' lives, builds inclusive classroom cultures, and aligns teaching with Oklahoma’s CS mandates and Tulsa's workforce needs.

2023 Black Futures Hackathon
Hackathons play an important role in the tech community because they bring people together to work collaboratively on a challenge.
Urban Coders Guild’s Black Futures Hackathon is a unique, youth-powered hackathon that gives students and families the opportunity to honor Black history while also developing future Black tech creators and innovators.
Over the course of 12 hours, Tulsa area middle and high school students will work in small teams to build and code Raspberry Pi-enabled robots to navigate through a series of challenges.
Cash prizes will be offered to winning middle and high school teams!
Applications are due by Monday, February 13.
