CS Superheroes: Empowering Students to Save the (Digital) World

This two-day professional development course equips teachers with the confidence, strategies, and resources to engage students in computer science (CS) education. The course connects coding concepts to students' lives, builds inclusive classroom cultures, and aligns teaching with Oklahoma’s CS mandates and Tulsa's workforce needs.

This two-day professional development course equips teachers with the confidence, strategies, and resources to engage students in computer science (CS) education. The course connects coding concepts to students' lives, builds inclusive classroom cultures, and aligns teaching with Oklahoma’s CS mandates and Tulsa's workforce needs.

Course Objectives:

  1. Build teacher confidence in delivering CS content.

  2. Equip teachers with strategies to foster student engagement and confidence.

  3. Provide actionable techniques for culturally responsive teaching in diverse classrooms.

  4. Introduce resources to prepare students for certifications and tech careers.
